Yesterday I was at Creative Morning in Oslo. Creative Mornings is a monthly breakfast lecture series for creative types. Each event is free of charge, and includes a 20 minute talk, plus coffee!
Yesterday the event was held at Westerdals, the speaker was Erik Heisholt from Anti and the theme was creativity 3.0; REBEL. Here's some of my notes from the event:
- A brand need a hell lot of energy!
- Create a culture of making things - do something!
- Storytelling! Often without words.
- Experiment! All the time.
- The final product is no longer the only goal.
- The before and after part of the idea become more and more important.
- Take a role in people's life - creatives are scriptwriters.
-Try to create fans and buddies instead of clients. You do cool things together. Involve the client at all times - no surprises.
- No rules. No boxes - only innovative ideas.
- Pay attention.
- Show your personality - what is your lifestyle? What are you passionate about?
- Do something extraordinary - speak up!
- You have to push over longer time.
- Collaborate with the best. Not only your friends.
This speak was really inspiring and made me wanna go crazy making stuff so now I'm off to experimenting - big time! :D
